Highfleet is an indie strategy game set in an alternate reality dystopia where a climate disaster has led humanity to wage wars against each other using giant methane-powered airships.

You play as the commander of an entire fleet of these flying metal tombs with oversized turrets, and your goal is to capture the city of a rebel terrorist group before their forces grow too big to stop them.

The most important ship in your air navy is your starting flagship. If it ever gets destroyed, you get an instant game over, which is why you should rarely send it into combat and make extra sure that it's protected from enemy attacks.

Or your own stupidity, for that matter.

You don’t actually have to send the flagship into battle to put it at risk. You can also get an instant game over by accidentally dismantling the ship yourself.

Since customizing and upgrading your ships takes place in real time and it allows you to move any part of the ship you're editing, you can accidentally detach the flagship’s core, which will immediately cause it to drop to the ground and trigger a game over.

And that’s why you don’t mess with expensive equipment unless you’re a professional.
