Cyberpunk 2077, like The Witcher 3, gives the player several different romance options, on top of a potential one-night stand and an occasional lover on Jig-Jig Street.

You’d think with so many choices the players would feel spoiled, and yet, chances are if you ask an average player who their perfect Cyberpunk match is, they are likely to answer "Goro", even though the man isn’t a romancable at all.

Goro Takemura, Arasaka’s most loyal soldier, starts off his relationship with V as wary allies, but as you progress the story, you discover the side of him that makes most players fall in love with his character.

Despite being a killing machine and a fanatically loyal agent of the world’s most evil corporation, Goro’s dedication and somewhat awkward demeanour are hard not to appreciate. The way he fumbles with modern technology, the fact that he randomly sends you a picture of a cat, and last but not least, the way he shows genuine care for V as time goes on all feel like a natural lead-up to a potential romantic bond between Goro and V, but alas, Cyberpunk never gives you the option.

Goro fans stay starving.
