Developer: Capcom Platform: Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Arcade Release: 2014 Street Fighter IV was the most highly anticipated fighting game of all time, with over 10 years of hype building up to its release in 2008. Capcom's series has long been regarded as one of the best fighting games of all time since the incredible success of Street Fighter 2, and the fourth instalment had a lot to live up to. Fortunately for fighting fans everywhere, Street Fighter IV was far from a disappointment. It featured striking visuals, tight controls and a combat system that added brilliant new mechanics while retaining the classic Street Fighter feel. This year saw the umpteenth re-release of the game, this time in the form of Ultra Street Fighter IV. While not a must-have title for more casual fans of the series, Ultra Street Fighter IV is unequivocally the best version, with five new characters, six new stages and the option of playing previous versions of fighters.
