20 Greatest Shooters Ever Made

10. GoldenEye 007

Mention the word 'Goldeneye' to members of a certain generation, and it won't be the movie that they'll be thinking of. For many, Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo 64 was the stuff childhoods are made of, thanks to the split-screen multiplayer's ability to transform even the most boring evening into hours of hilarious fun. Goldeneye 007 pioneered a number of conventions that are now taken for granted in FPS multiplayer, including zoomable scoped rifles, analog-stick control and AI that didn't just constantly run at the player guns blazing. The game also did a great job of implementing the James Bond IP, with the real theme music being used to great effect, and the screen-filling blood effect occurring on death.
