20 Hilarious Video Game Mechanics You Didn't Know Existed

4. Killer Hare - The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 is a game about monster slaying, so obviously Geralt can slice and dice any nasty critter that crosses his path. The only unkillable NPCs in the game are mostly the humans that inhabit the towns and cities on the world map, but there is one exception.

The devs made one monster a near-unkillable mob, and the hilarious thing is that it's a tiny white bunny.

Hiding near a cave in Velen, this adorable white furball is a secret easter egg referencing the famous Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog from Monthly Python and the Holy Grail.

The bunny hops around a massive pile of gore and bones, just like the original monster from the Monty Python sketch. Also like the critter's inspiration, the only way to kill it is with a bomb (even if Geralt lacks access to the holy variety).

The bunny is a surprisingly layered easter egg, and you have to appreciate the devs' dedication to the bit by programming it to be the only NPC in the game that can be exclusively killed with an explosive.
