20 Most Hotly Anticipated Games Still To Come In 2014

18. The Sims 4 (Sept 2)

The Sims franchise may seem tiresome to a lot of "hardcore" gamers, but there's no denying the appeal of these titles for more casual audiences, who might just want to dip in and out of play for 20 or 30 minutes at a time. Nobody will be expecting Maxis to reinvent the wheel with The Sims 4, but from what we've seen so far, and considering it's been a whole 5 years since the last core game, we can't deny we're actually looking forward to seeing how the enhanced emotional aspects of the game come into play. We already know that the game will feature greatly enhanced character creation options, and at E3 it was also confirmed that players can import other players' Sims into their own creations, complete with the distinct personalities that the original creator has made for them. Then there's the greater emotional responses of the characters: Maxis claim that they will remember events from days prior, and in a bizarre twist, if a character is enjoying themselves just a little too much, they can even end up laughing themselves to death, as was awkwardly, hilariously demonstrated at E3... Predicted MetaCritic Score: 81
