18. Planned First-Person View
Some weapons in GTA 3 switch you into a first-person view when in use, but that's the only way in game that first person exists.
During development, however, a full first-person view was planned to be implemented and included in the final product.
In fact, there still exists both animations and references to it within the game files of Grand Theft Auto 3.
The exact reason for the view being cut from the final product has never been revealed, but we can only imagine that is was due to technical limitations of the PS2 and making sure everything played nice in the final product.
It's also not known whether this was to be an optional extra, or was the planned actual camera for the game, instead of the third-person view we got.
