5. The Undertaker/Raiden (Mortal Kombat Franchise)

Raiden, eternal God Of Thunder, is one of the only characters to have appeared in every iteration of Mortal Kombat as a playable character, just as the Undertaker has had a presence in nearly every generation of WWF/E for twenty-five years, in various gimmicks and guises. The Undertaker may be the Dead Man while Raiden is an elemental creature, but their command of the lightning is a common factor they share, as is their habit of teleporting to where they need to be, although that€™s chiefly for dramatic effect when it comes to the Phenom. Another aspect of the characters that they share is their outlook on life. Raiden€™s perspective is that of an eternal being, and he has entirely different concerns to the other player character in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Similarly, the Undertaker isn€™t bothered so much with championships and title runs these days. He shows up once, sometimes twice a year to take on a headline feud with an important up-and-comer or a made man, not to defeat jobbers in squash matches. Neither man has anything left to prove to anyone, least of all themselves.
