20 Most Embarrassing Video Game Moments Of The Decade
16. Halo: The Master Chief Collection's Server Issues
Oh, how the Halo fans rejoiced at the announcement of this collection. All major Halo games available on one disc, with 5,000 Gamerscore and an fancier anniversary edition of Halo 2. Not only would fans be able to play all four campaigns, they'd be able to play all four multiplayer components on new servers. Perfect.
Well, things didn't work out quite that well. Upon release, the game was genuinely broken. Finding a match was damn near impossible, and when you did connect, you wouldn't be able to stay in that lobby past the first screen.
343 would release patch after patch which seemingly did nothing, until finally Microsoft issued an apology and gave fans a free month of Xbox Live and a free download of the Halo 3: ODST campaign that would be included in the game later on.
Depending on who you ask, some fans still have trouble playing the game online with friends to this day; through either the inability to find matches or just disconnection issues. The steady troubles the game had in its early stages, unfortunately hurt it in the long run.
