20 Most Hotly Anticipated Holiday 2017 Video Games - Ranked
3. Call Of Duty: WWII
Release Date: November 3 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
The Hype: After the full-blown sci-fi excess of the recent Call of Duty titles, Sledgehammer Games looks to take the franchise back-to-basics with a World War II setting and less casual-friendly campaign that does away with regenerating health entirely.
Multiplayer still remains the focus, obviously, with the introduction of a social space called Headquarters alongside the usual online shooting shenanigans, and of course, Nazi Zombies mode makes its inevitable return.
Whether or not the game truly manages to refresh the franchise or is merely another reliably entertaining yet still-familiar addition, at least it's trying some new things and taking a few risks.
Hopefully the multiplayer is less twitchy than Infinite Warfare's almost unbearably fast-paced gunplay, though.
