20 Most Overrated Pokémon In History
2. Dragonite
When Lance stepped out with three Dragonites back in Generation Two's Pokémon Gold & Silver and frustrated the life out of many a young player, it was easy to get stuck in the belief that these things were the holy grail of Dragon Pokémon.
And at that time, they may well have been. Now, however, it's been surpassed by a creature that a lot of players are opting for instead. With Garchomp being added in Generation Four, Dragonite has had to take a backseat. And rightfully so.
Garchomp is much more dynamic than Dragonite, and its increased Speed is a great bonus right off the bat. We've talked several times about how important the first strike can be in these battles, and Garchomp is virtually guaranteed to claim that.
It's also much more focussed around its strengths than Dragonite is; each one boasts better physical power than they do ranged, but Dragonite's moveset flitters strangely between the two. Add to this Garchomp's far superior HP capacity (and the potential for Mega Evolution) and you'll find that your Dragonite is desperately in need of replacement.
