20 Most Replayable Video Game Moments Of The 2000s

9. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006) - Wiping Out The Dark Brotherhood

It's pretty much an Elder Scrolls trademark to have utterly unmemorable quests, resulting from emotionless, big-headed characters with the personalities and appearances of spuds. But the Dark Brotherhood quest-line in Oblivion bucks the trend. It was hard to pick the decide which quest is the most replayable; your first kill for the Brotherhood - a simple matter of murdering some schnook as he sleeps, may not be complex, but it feels like a significant moment as you commit yourself to the dark side. In the end though, it's the final Brotherhood quest that's most worth going back to. In a devilish twist, you get assigned by the Dark Mother to wipe out every member of the Dark Brotherhood, which cements you as its leader because, well, there's no one else left. There is a dark, twisted satisfaction to turning on the characters who nurtured you for so long. Of course, you carry it out without remorse, because that's your victims trained you to do. In a way, it's exactly what they would've wanted. Brilliant.
