The finest of all Naughty Dog's third-person action-adventures (unless Uncharted 4 blows it out the water), Uncharted 2 was the first game to have script-wizards Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley at the helm. They humanised Drake and really let us see him at his lowest, weaving a brilliantly-told personal tale of romance with the high-falutin' archaeological plundering we'd come to know and love. Gameplay involved ensuring you stayed on your toes no matter how much firepower was baring down from up ahead, creating a unique take on combat that actively included the platforming elements Naughty Dog had perfected on the previous two generations of consoles.
