20 Problems Only FIFA Players Will Understand

19. The First Trailer Never Makes Any Sense

Every year, usually in June at E3, we receive our first glimpse at the next blockbuster title in the Fifa series. As a general rule, the first trailer doesn't contain much solid information; it's mainly a teaser to get our mouths watering at the improved graphics, advances in physics and a brief flash of the new kits and stadiums we'll be tearing up. So why is it always filled with meaningless, confusing information? "Feel The Game" demands Fifa 15's trailer as an overly dramatic narrator proclaims that "we love these moments, we ARE these moments!". Well, that's all well and good but some of us would like some more solid information. Sadly, the more interesting aspects (like features and selling points) don't tend to arrive until nearer to release. Still, it gets people rushing to pre-order, so what do we know? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia43OgdBHaE

18. Fifa Is The Second Best Scouting Tool On The Market (Behind Football Manager)

Everybody has that one friend who knows exactly who the next big football superstar is going to be. Their seemingly super-human powers may be mystical and otherworldly but more plausibly, they probably play a lot of Fifa. After all, like Football Manager, Fifa is a great way to identify young players who could go onto become genuine world beaters. The term 'Career Mode Legend' is often used in reference to this; basically, a player bought early on in Career Mode (while they're still cheap) to be nurtured and grown into an unstoppable goal-scoring (or defending) machine. Of course, it doesn't always work out like that in real-life. For every Calum Chambers, there's a Freddy Adu lying in wait to ruin your scouting reputation.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
