4. Titanfall 2 Doesn't Learn From The Original's Mistakes
Release Date: TBA The Hype: Not much is known about Respawn Entertainment's sequel to their acclaimed 2014 FPS, except that it will also release on PS4 as well as PC and Xbox One, and will feature a traditional single player campaign as opposed to the original's rather limp offering. Why It Might Suck: Titanfall was a fun game, but its main flaw was that it didn't have much staying power as a multiplayer title: it was a fairly quick road to hitting "Regeneration" (the game's version of Prestige Mode), and there just wasn't much of an incentive to keep playing, owing to the saminess of the maps and general repetitiveness of the gameplay. Titanfall 2 needs to substantially up its game with more varied mechanics, maps and modes if it doesn't want the player base to sharply drop off as it did with the first game, even if the original still sold extremely well. If they just repeat what came before, though, we'll be a lot less forgiving this time.
