13. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Suffers With More Terrible Boss Fights
Release Date: August 23 The Hype: The long-awaited follow-up to 2011's acclaimed-but-flawed Deus Ex: Human Revolution reunites players with protagonist Adam Jensen as he attempts to bring down a terrorist threat. Yep, strangely the hype on this one is pretty low-flying so far: not much more to say about it than that. Why It Might Suck: For one, even hardcore fans may be willing to admit that Square Enix haven't done a great job selling the game to players so far: it pretty much just seems like more of the same rather than a bigger, more ambitious sequel like gamers naturally expect. Also, there's a big question mark hanging over the boss battles: after Human Revolution farmed its boss fights out to another developer and the end result was, well, atrocious, Eidos Montreal have been frustratingly vague about detailing how bosses play out in this new game. If our augmentations are useless once again and it comes down to generic bullet sponge bosses, it'll be a prompt uninstall and refund request. No thanks.
