Release Date: June 21 The Hype: Ever since it was first shown off, No Man's Sky has been riding a huge wave of hype. Touted as an "open universe" exploration game, players can visit up to 18 quintillion procedurally-generated planets and submit their findings to a global log which other players can also observe. Why It Might Suck: No Man's Sky has been known about for long enough without the specifics of its gameplay being revealed that many believe it will essentially become the Spore of 2016: it'll be a game that appears to over-promise with an ambitious concept, and then probably under-deliver. The major worry is that, despite all those planets you're able to visit, it just won't feel populated enough with content and activities to keep players coming back: after all, if most of it is just generated by an algorithm, where's the personality? We'd love to be wrong, but this is absolutely a game you should be wary of pre-ordering. Wait for the reviews.
