3. It Doesn't Actually Come Out In 2017 - Star Citizen
Why It Might Suck: Star Citizen has been in development in 2011, and in fairness, Cloud Imperium Games have been far more transparent with backers and the general gaming audience than about 99% of developers would ever dare to be.
Still, it's hard to believe this game's ever going to actually be finished, let alone be in a complete form by the end of this year. That'll be the real suck here, short of the game releasing and actually being terrible, which seems incredibly unlikely.
Why It Might Not: Well, there is a possibility it might actually release within the next 12 months...
