12. Dead Island 2 Rehashes What Came Before With A New Skin

Release Date: May or June The Hype: Taking place in California rather than the island setting of the first game, this follow-up ambitiously attempts to up the scale, while also introducing a more brutal array of weapons and different battle mechanics for the zombie attacks. So far, Los Angeles and San Francisco are confirmed as two locations, while a third is currently under wraps. Why It Might Suck: Dead Island wasn't exactly a great game in the first place. Sure, it was fun to a point, but it was a surprisingly generic zombie game after that brilliantly emotional first teaser trailer caused gamers to expect something completely different. It doesn't seem like Dead Island 2 is going to reinvent the wheel exactly, and if it's just a better looking version of what came before, then there's not really much of a reason to throw down cash for this one.
