18. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Numerous Delays Are Due To A Shoddy Product

Release Date: May 19 The Hype: The third entry into the much-loved RPG trilogy, boasting a map 30 times larger than the previous two games, while featuring a complex choice system and a reported 50 hours of gameplay for the core campaign alone. Plus, CD Projekt RED have delayed the game numerous times, so hopefully this means they're out for perfection and are refusing to release an inferior product, right? Why It Might Suck: Though the dev's track record suggests that The Witcher 3 will probably be a success, the numerous delays are a tad worrying. Could it be that the game succumbs to the dreaded second sequel syndrome? Perhaps it's been pushed back repeatedly because there are nagging technical issues which can't be ironed out, and the publishers' patience has finally run out with the latest release date. Or maybe it's simply a competent but forgettable RPG game, which would probably be the worst thing of all, given the excellence that preceded it.
