20 Simple Game Exploits That Make You OP
9. Infinite Fate Points - Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is an old isometric RPG set in a fantasy steampunk world where technology and magic constantly clash with each other.
The game, being inspired by tabletop RPGs, features so-called "Fate Points," which the player can spend at any given moment to gain incredible boosts, such as full health restoration or a guaranteed critical success on an ability.
Using Fate Points can certainly prove quite powerful, but the game balances this out by letting them obtain only a handful of them in the entire campaign. Luckily, there is one nifty little exploit that overrides this restriction.
The trick is really simple. The quest to steal the Golden Idol from Kree grants you a free Fate Point for escaping the city with the Golden Idol without killing a single Kree barbarian.
However, if you get the Fate Point and then head back to the city with the Golden Idol still in your inventory, you will receive the Fate Point again.
By repeatedly walking in and out of Kree, you can stockpile as many Fate Points as you want and then start abusing their incredible boons to your heart's content.
