15. Infinite Thief Skill - Kenshi

Kenshi is a ruthless survival game set in a samurai-themed post-apocalyptic world. The only way to level up most stats, like brawling and endurance, is to continually fail and then pray that your character will not get beaten to death just long enough to learn from their defeat.

This is definitely the case with the Thievery skill. Since stealing things is based on random odds that scale with your skill, on lower levels, your chance of success will be so slim that you won't be able to grab anything without the owner breaking your legs shortly after.

Which is why you have to break their legs first.

If you don't want to waste hours stuck in the loop of failed skulduggery and confinement, you can quickly and effortlessly level up your Thievery by stealing things off unconscious characters you defeated in combat.

Stealing things off knocked-out NPCs still counts towards improving your Thievery, but since they're unconscious, they cannot react to your failed attempts, meaning that if you steal their equipment, put it back in their inventory, and then rinse and repeat, you can quickly and safely grind your Thievery skill until you're proficient enough to steal late-game gear with next to no effort.
