20 Simple Game Exploits That Make You OP
13. Hyena Swap - Songs of Conquest
Songs of Conquest is the spiritual successor to the cult game series Heroes of Might and Magic. The game is a turn-based strategy that allows you to play as six different factions, building your armies and economy to defeat your opponents.
Now, you can spend hours constructing the perfect, most balanced army that will answer to every threat imaginable… Or you can recruit a bunch of hyenas and teleport them around.
Just like the Heroes series, Songs of Conquest features a magic system that allows you to cast spells during the battle. These spells range from destructively powerful to situationally useful, and although Swap seems to belong in the latter category, it can secretly be deadlier than any damage-dealing spell when paired with a gang of angry hyenas.
This is because Swap allows you to switch an enemy unit with your own, and since hyenas have infinite retaliation attacks that trigger when an enemy appears next to them or hits them and the Quick trait that lets them retaliate first, if you swap them for a unit surrounded by other enemies, they will immediately go on a killing spree, destroying everything in sight.
The tactic is especially useful against ranged and spellcasting units, as the AI usually clumps them together. Almost as if they wanted you to unleash your laughing mutts on them.
