6. Skull Face - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Though Metal Gear Solid V's Skull Face was actually something of an underwhelming villain considering we don't even get to fight the guy, his scheme gets top marks for originality.
Skull Face's overarching goal was to basically eradicate Western imperialism itself - an extremely ambitious one to say the least, and which he sought to achieve by unleashing a parasite that kills anyone who speaks the English language. Yup.
Again, it's one of the most creative villain ploys in any video game ever, and while Skull Face was ultimately felled in hilariously anti-climactic fashion by being crushed to death by Metal Gear Sahelanthropus, on paper his plan seemed just crazy enough that it might work.
After all, we saw the damage the parasite did on Mother Base, where an outbreak forced Venom Snake to kill many of his own men, so if Skull Face had managed to spread it further, the world would've basically been set on fire.
