20 Things Only Pokémon Fans Will Understand

19. Confusion Seems To Last 100x Longer When It's Affecting Your Pokémon

As far as status effects go, confusion is probably the most frustrating in any Pokémon game. While most others simply stop you from being able to attack, or chip away at your team's HP in the case of poisoning, confusion goes the extra mile and actually turns your beloved beasts against themselves.

And while confusion is a great effect to inflict on your opponent's team, it never seems to be quite as devastating as when you're on the receiving end of it. Confusion seems to last an absolute age when your team are affected, and their ability to shake it off seems to sit on the opposite end of the spectrum to Taylor Swift's.

The official line on confusion is that the condition lasts for 1-4 attacking turns, but we all know that should actually read as "100-400" when it's happened to your Pokémon. Life is cruel.
