6. Sean Connery Was Offered The Role Of Rayden

Though Christopher Lambert did a fantastic job playing legendary thunder god Rayden, the part was originally offered to none other than Sean freaking Connery.

Connery unsurprisingly turned it down, citing his lack of interest in a majorly physical role and, hilariously, his desire to play golf instead. Presumably an $18 million movie couldn't afford to entice the Bond actor with a dumptruck full of cash, either.

Amusingly, the part ended up going to Lambert, who was of course Connery's co-star in the first two Highlander movies.

Tough thought it might be to picture, Danny Glover was also reportedly in consideration for the role.
