20 Underrated Hidden Gaming Gems Of The Current Generation You Need To Play
6. Ori & The Blind Forest
Back to home consoles, and thanks to the Xbox One being about as recommendable as going for a dip in the Bayou across 2014, Ori's lovely little adventure fell almost completely by the wayside.
Compiled by a number of studios spread out around the world, Ori & the Blind Forest has a hand-drawn visual aesthetic that feels as though Guillermo del Toro grew up working for Studio Ghibli. Platforming is insanely tight, Ori's abilities factor into the Metroid-like exploration and unlocking of the world itself, and the game just looks stunning from beginning to end.
You can marvel at the graphical rendering backflips of Battlefield 1, Halo 5 and Battlefield 1, but there should always be appreciation set aside for game worlds that are meticulously crafted from top to bottom as that of Ori & the Blind Forest.
