20 Upcoming Games GTA 6 Has RUINED 2026 For
10. Thick as Thieves
A standout reveal at the 2024 Game Awards, this PvPvE title bolstered the name of legendary Warren Spector as a creative, hinted at a world that looked like a mash-up of Thief and Dishonored, and showcased gameplay to pull off daring heists while battling, or teaming, with other players.
As stale as the GaaS scene is at the moment, Thieves has a unique spin on the formula, promising a level of fun, stealth, and daring that most titles in the genre skip in favor of trend-chasing. While Spector’s name has been absent from anything relevant for a little over two decades, he remains a living legend, responsible for the Thief series, that is clearly an inspiration for this game.
As a new IP in the online space, it will need room to find its footing. While GTA 6 will no doubt deliver a GOTY-level single-player campaign, its long legs rest on its online mode, with gameplay that lends itself to robberies and allying, or betraying, other players. The studio would be smart to release it after the hype subsides slightly (if that’s even possible).
