20 Upcoming Games That COULD Be Better Than GTA VI
1. Beyond Good & Evil 2
And let's end this list with a "Why the heck not?" entry.
A sequel to Ubisoft's cult classic action-adventure game Beyond Good and Evil was first announced all the way back in 2008, and after years of radio silence, it was re-introduced in 2017.
The re-reveal confirmed Beyond Good and Evil 2 to be a considerably more ambitious follow-up - a full-fat AAA open-world RPG with co-op support and a living, shared online universe.
Even though we've heard little substantial about the sequel in recent years, Ubisoft regularly insists that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in active development and far from the vaporware many have assumed it to be.
While the protracted development hardly suggests a masterpiece will emerge out the other side, stranger things have certainly happened.
Is it likely that Beyond Good and Evil is a generational, GTA VI-topping banger? No, but Ubisoft could very well end up surprising us all when the game finally comes out - assuming it does, of course.
