The sequel to Telltale Games’ adventure title The Wolf Among Us (or “Season 2”) has been something of a long time coming, but it’s almost here. Almost.

With a story taking place six months following the events of the first game, and utilising the same episodic structure, The Wolf Among Us 2 focuses on Bigby, the “Big Bad Wolf” and ex-Sheriff of Fabletown. We join him for a noir adventure, this time as a private detective, in another outing loosely based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series.

Between the first game and now, the original incarnation of Telltale went the way of the lemming, before being revived in a new form in 2018, with LCG Entertainment acquiring the rights to much of the original Telltale IP and doing business under the Telltale name, with some of the old team. Wolf Among Us 2 was then announced in 2019, and since then there have been innumerable delays and reworkings. Nevertheless, the game is alive and on the way, and its updated graphics and style promise to be worth the wait. 

The game is expected to appear on PS4, PS5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2026.
