3. Knack 2 - 2017
Don’t knock Knack until you’ve played it. OK, knock Knack, as it really wasn’t very good despite what a small group of online fanboys will tell you. A PS4 launch title, Knack featured a mixture of old-school 3D platforming and more modern melee combat, but failed to do much with either and ending up being rather forgettable.
Well, guess what? Knack is getting a sequel and it’s imaginatively titled Knack 2. Usually a sequel to a terrible game wouldn’t garner much attention, but this is a PS4 exclusive and it already looks to be a fair bit more interesting than the original game. For one thing, this time the script is being written by former God of War writer Marianne Krawczyk. It’s not clear what that means for the tone, but it’s assumed Knack isn’t going to slaughter his family and then go on a blood-filled rampage for revenge. Or is he?
Knack 2 is set for a release in the second half of 2017. Don’t feel like you have to play the original first. It’s really not very good.
