And finally we have a game that may or may not ever actually come out, and that's The Last of Us Part III.
One of the most speculated-about sequels of recent times, many fans would of course love to see a third entry into Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic franchise to close out Ellie's story, even as some feel that Part II said everything that needed to be.
The matter of the game's existence and whether it gets made or not is going to shock people either way.
Rumours have persistently pointed to a third game being in some form of early development, spurred on by telling comments from director Neil Druckmann, so it might well be a matter of "when" rather than "if."
But considering that Druckmann and Naughty Dog are currently hard at work on their new sci-fi game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which likely won't release until next year at the earliest, fans probably shouldn't expect The Last of Us Part III until the 2030s - at least a full decade on from Part II.
