The legacy of Tony Hawk, the legendary skateboarder, is one that only a few can dream of achieving. His celebrity status has allowed him to plaster his name on many projects, with perhaps the most influential being the series of video games he is associated with.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Underground games are an absolute nostalgic treat for many. But, as is often the case, there's got to be a stinker in the line-up. For this franchise, that is no doubt Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5.

This game landed with the grace of an amateur skater falling flat on their face after a failed rail grind. It arrived utterly unfinished, full of bugs and glitches, and with gameplay that felt unresponsive and clunky, especially when compared to the smoothness of its predecessors. It also felt barren, with dull level design, a scarce Career Mode, and a general sense of emptiness.

It was a real fall from grace, especially given that it had been over a decade since Pro Skater 4.
