The Illusion school of magic allows you to easily eliminate your targets with spells that make you harder to detect and calm spells, which turn your enemies non-hostile, allowing you to shoot them as many times as you want without picking a fight.

There is also another secret use for illusion—quick and easy level-ups.

Illusion might be one of the easiest skill trees to level up, and that’s because its Muffle spell, which dampens the sounds you make, can be purchased relatively early, and it consistently gives huge amounts of illusion experience simply for casting it.

Knowing this, you can spam Muffle everywhere you go and then easily push your character’s Illusion up to 100, so you can turn the skill legendary. Afterward, just keep repeating the whole process at progressively faster rates, and end up leveling up so much that you’ll have more health, stamina, magicka, and perks than you know what to do with.

Best of all, you can do all of this without having to fight anyone. Just stay in town and spam that Muffle spell to your heart’s content.
