17. Junk - Wildfrost
Wildfrost is a deck-builder roguelike about traversing a treacherous icy wasteland. The game features a wide variety of heroes and mechanics that allow you to create very versatile and powerful decks, but some cards may seem less useful than others.
Like the card “Junk,” whose description literally describes it as “doing absolutely nothing.”
A lot of players who start the game might be confused, if not downright annoyed, with items and characters that generate Junk cards, littering their deck with useless trash that blocks off their good stuff.
However, if you know what you’re doing, junk can be a complete game changer.
As you progress the game, you eventually unlock cards with the Recycle trait that require you to possess a certain amount of Junk in your deck in order to be played. These items provide incredibly powerful abilities that normal cards usually take multiple turns or complex setups to achieve.
Once you get your hands on one of these recycle cards, the same junk that used to be a hassle will suddenly become a valuable resource that you will want to fill up your deck with.
