Romance has been an integral part of the Sims series for as long as it existed. Sims players love to create all kinds of love stories with their virtual dolls, but aside from the occasional gold-digging or fulfilling your Sims’ wishes, there’s no reward for romancing any Sims in particular.

That is, unless you play The Sims 3 and your love target is one of the local firefighters.

Aside from regular traits that you assign to your Sims when creating them or graduating to their next life stage, the Sims 3 features special hidden traits that you can inherit from specific Sims.

These traits do not show in your Sims’ info tab, but they can grant them additional interactions, like the ability to sneak, inherited by children of burglars.

The most powerful of these hidden traits has to be the Pyromaniac trait inherited from firefighters. Pyromaniacs receive full immunity to fire and the ability to change any fruit into a flame fruit that gives a positive moodlet when eaten. They can also start fires with a flick of their hand, allowing you to have plenty of destructive fun when you play with them.

Their firefighting parents probably won’t be proud, but what the eyes don’t see…
