20 Video Games That Are About To Make A HUGE Comeback
8. Danganronpa 2X2
Danganronpa is a stylish murder-mystery where trapped students are forced into a deadly game of class trials, where lies are exposed and crimes are solved. Although the courtroom logic is akin to Ace Attorney, the extravagant characters, over-the-top humour, and cynical approach stops Danganronpa from feeling like a copycat.
Even though the visual novel saga was initially consistent, it's gone mostly dormant in recent times, save for the dreadful Ultimate Summer Camp spin-off.
But Danganronpa is coming back in a big way, since an enhanced version of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is being released next year for all modern systems. All the backgrounds and character sprites in Danganronpa 2x2 have been refined, making every visual on-screen pop.
Instead of being a direct remake, 2x2 has a new scenario route that branches off from the former setting and characters, but with different victims and culprits. Rather than being a small extension, this scenario is the same size as the main campaign, doubling the content (hence the title). As a result, 2x2 should have something new to offer anyone, even those with a profound knowledge of the classic game.
