But the long, long, long-awaited sequel is sure to set a new standard, especially with a budget of up to $2 billion.

As expected, the visuals in Rockstar's upcoming title showcase an unprecedented level of realism. GTA VI features dual protagonists for the first time, opening up new possibilities for story, character dynamics, and conflicts, especially if you can toggle between the pair. 

GTA VI offers hundreds of locations, like motels, restaurants, nightclubs, and even coral reefs to explore, making every aspect of this world feel alive.

Although gossip should be taken with a dollop of salt, the leaks have everybody buzzing, especially if there's any truth to the rumoured co-op and multiplayer missions. There's also rumblings involving dynamic weather systems, smarter police AI, and environments responding to player action, further implying Rockstar has spared no expense. While the creators remain tightlipped about plot details and missions, there's no doubt GTA VI will deliver more than enough to satiate anyone.

Expectations may be unrealistically high, but Grand Theft Auto VI should exceed them all.
