20 Video Games That Are About To Make A HUGE Comeback
18. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
Ever since Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection dropped in 2024, superhero lovers have been hankering for another instalment, (especially to make up for the disastrous Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite).
Although Capcom doesn't have a Marvel fighting title in the pipeline, we're getting something potentially better, since Arc System Works are putting together a 2.5D smash-up called Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.
Battles in Tokon start off as a standard 1-on-1, but teammates can be unlocked by fulfilling certain conditions, urging players to constantly adjust their strategy to strengthen their team. As more fighters enter the fray, the straightforward scrap gradually turns into an epic 4-on-4 battle.
Looking at the company's other work, like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear, it's obvious Arc Systems has a knack for vibrant combat, signalling that Marvel Tokon is in safe hands. The development team intend to support the game for a decade, suggesting that more features and playable characters are on the way. (Let's prey they bring in Stilt Man.)
If Fighting Souls knock it out of the park, it could surpass Marvel vs. Capcom as the definitive superhero fighting series.
