The upcoming real-time strategy title, Dawn of IV, marks the triumphant return of the beloved Warhammer 40,000 saga. Though not helmed by Relic Entertainment this time around, the developers, King Art Games, vows this project will return to its roots, implementing large-scale battles, base construction, and resource management, but on a much grander scale.

The central selling point of Dawn of War IV is its vast single-player, which features four distinct factions, each with campaigns larger than the first instalment in its entirety. Many of the 70 missions have branching choices, delivering more choice and replayability. The emphasis on the narrative signals a conscious move away from the multiplayer-heavy focus of previous games (which is when the series started going downhill).

Dawn of War IV also brings back Last Stand mode, skirmishes, and multiplayer, offering a variety of solo and competitive experiences.

With hopes riding high, this game is primed to rekindle the fire in RTS fanatics and Warhammer devotees alike. So, not only is Dawn of War IV looking like a sure-fire hit, it could very well be the best instalment so far.
