4. You Killed The Empress - Dishonored
Dishonored is an immersive sim action-adventure game developed by Arkane Studios. Set in the fictional Victorian-era-inspired city of Dunwall, you play as Corvo Attano, a disgraced bodyguard of the empress who seeks to avenge her death and clear up his name by eliminating the people who were involved in her assassination.
That is, if you manage to finish the tutorial and actually follow the story. The alternative is that YOU end up assassinating Empress Jessamine yourself.
It sounds silly, but it is possible to fail the tutorial to the game by killing the Empress before the actual assassins. The Empress can be attacked with your sword as any other NPC in the intro, and if you do it, Corvo will actually murder her, prompting a special early game over screen that bluntly states, "You killed the Empress."
The intro also features other special game over messages for performing similarly dumb actions, such as attacking the spymaster that gives you the game over screen: "You committed a capital offense."
Who needs assassins when you can just have one really incompetent bodyguard?
