The Hype: The first WWE game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the first in which 2K Sports have completely overseen the production, bringing co-developer Visual Concepts on board to motion capture the superstars for added authenticity. This should result in the most visually stunning and realistic experience yet, right? What Happened?: WWE 2K15 weirdly felt like it took several steps back from 2K14: the online lobbies are still horrendous to navigate, a large number of match modes have been removed, the gameplay has attempted to become more of a simulation but in that stead ended up tedious, and finally, the graphics still look a few years behind the times. Yes, 2K15 represents a noticeable visual upswing from 2K14, but the graphics still look like they'd probably be possible on late seventh-gen hardware with other games, which is all the more disappointing considering the insane photorealism 2K have achieved with their other sports titles. Why do the WWE games always look so visually dated? And sadly, the upcoming 2K16 isn't looking to be a substantial boost in that department...
