You literally play as a hulking Spartan warrior who makes it his business to rip apart everything from gigantic screen-filled creatures to humans in half with his bare hands, the resulting explosions of groans and fluids splaying Kratos' name across tabloid headlines and gamers' memories in one fell swoop. For GoW, Sony knew they were onto a winning formula, making GoW II an extension of the first game in every respect.
