7. Clementine (The Walking Dead: The Final Season)

Telltale Games' greatest storytelling success has unquestionably been how passionately they made fans care for The Walking Dead's young protagonist Clementine, and no matter the series' ups and downs, fan support for Clem has remained strong throughout.

This is especially true in the hit-and-miss - and still ongoing - Final Season, which leaps forward to depict Clem in her late-teens while fighting for survival and serving as a surrogate mother to young A.J.

The Clem-A.J. dynamic is completely riveting, though the season (so far) has been handicapped severely by uninteresting new characters and a general feeling that the series has reached a stale narrative impasse.

It'll be interesting to see things turn out when Skybound Entertainment finishes off the remaining two episodes next year, but even if The Walking Dead doesn't end on a high, there's no denying the love fans still feel for Clem.
