25 Best Sega Games Of All Time - RANKED

14. ChuChu Rocket!

Yakuza game
Sega

Friendships have been both systematically made and completely destroyed by ChuChu Rocket. This gloriously addictive puzzle game, first released in 1999 for the Dreamcast, was a critical and commercial success for Sega.

As everyone knows, the Dreamcast was way ahead of its time. In the case of ChuChu Rocket, this was the first game on the platform to support online console gaming and for Dreamcast owners, it gave many their very first taste of playing multiplayer gaming online.

On paper, ChuChu Rocket sounds absolutely crazy. The objective of the game is to guide your 'ChuChu' (a weird mouse thing) into a rocket while trying to avoid deadly 'KapuKapus' (cats). The game is fast, frantic and fun; before you know it, you're absolutely hooked and battling against friends either locally or online was an absolute blast.

It's also a game that's very easy to pick up for non-gamers. Looking back at it in modern times, its not unfair to say ChuChu Rocket had a very similar gameplay loop to modern mobile games; simplistic, easy to play and difficult to master.

Thankfully this one wasn't packed full of microtransactions though. Simpler times and all that.
