25 Mind-Blowing Things You Didn't Know About Resident Evil

15. Zombies Bleed Green In Germany

Resident Evil 25 Copy
Capcom

It's hard to imagine dying in a Resident Evil game without seeing your own crimson blood pooling around you. Or Barry exploding the first zombie's head not long after examining the above scene in a shower of red.

Yet if you were playing the German version of the game, what I've just explained would sound weirder. You see, due to different censorship regulations, the Germans would prefer to see green blood pour out of wounds, making it less gruesome and thereby okay for classification.

Resident Evil 2 goes one further, in that all blood and gore in the PC and Dreamcast versions are grey. The only green showing is when a character bleeds.
