25 Video Game Mechanics That Simply Don't Work In Real Life
3. Save Points
Having a save point in real life is one of those videogame mechanics we could all probably agree would be extremely useful. About to make a massive decision? Save your progress beforehand and if you don't like the result, simply reboot, reload and try again.
Alas, the save point does not exist. If you screw up utterly, you're going to have to deal with the consequences in your own way.
The other side of the coin with this one is that save points aren't always in large supply. There's massive gaps between where each one is, so you'll find yourself running to and fro to save your game in the toilets on the top floor in the left hand corner before you go ahead and potentially order the wrong thing for lunch (again).
