14. Incredibles 2 (June 15)

It's, ahem, incredible, that it's taken almost 15 years for a sequel to Pixar's mega-hit The Incredibles to arrive, but hopefully that's indicative of returning writer-director Brad Bird taking his time to ensure Incredibles 2 is a worthy follow-up to the beloved original.

Little is known about the film's plot to date, but considering how drastically the superhero movie landscape has changed since the original, it's safe to say that Bird has a ripe opportunity to mercilessly satirise the genre while still serving up an enjoyable cape film in its own right.

Of all the sequels Pixar has in the pipeline right now, this is probably the one that's easiest to be optimistic about, because above all else, it feels like a movie made as much for passion as to print money.
