4 Reasons For Wii U Owners To Be Cheerful

4. The Gamepad Has Enormous Potential

Image 2099 The technology is somewhat of a curse, as the Wii often was in the early days. Third-party ports vary enormously in their use of the touchscreen - some will allow Gamepad play, some will have unique and useful features, whilst some will barely use the pad at all. The problem is that the technology makes the console awkward for third-parties to develop for, and even worse when it comes to porting. This means that it's better for others to wait it out. The one notable game that centred around Gamepad capability - the excellent ZombiU- absolutely bombed. This sent an unfortunate message, and Ubisoft's other promising exclusive - Rayman Legends - was wheeled out onto other platforms. But, it's not all bad.
