15. Cortana Halo Series
Who knew that computer AI could have such a personality? Cortana lights up the Halo universe, albeit with a slightly creepy Chief obsession in the 3rd instalment. But throughout she is awesome basically the reason you have to stay alive in the first game is so that Cortana can survive. She helps you out when things get tricky, warning you about every little thing and is funny and smart to boot. Also gets respect points for literally getting into the Chiefs head, something many women try with their men, only to fail athold on. Yes dear, well do the dishes now. Yes, we know we said ages ago. Sorry gotta go
14. Doctor Robotnik Sonic the Hedgehog Series
This guy must sit at the number two spot right after Unilever on PETAs most wanted list. Enslaving small animals to power robots, which then fight against Sonic, master stroke! We take our hat off to you sir! The best weve ever managed was to get our cat to cuddle our allergy suffering friend and we thought that was pretty evil but weve got nothing on this guy. With fantastic comedy hair and some of the most ridiculous hedgehog killing super weapons money could buy (or 16bit designers could design) this guy was a hoot to fight against.
13. Dr Harleen Harley Quinn Quinzel Batman: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
We love Harley Quinn from the Batman animated series and so when they transposed her into the games we were delighted. A psychotic, homicidal maniac who is utterly and completely devoted to the Joker. Weirdly tragic in many ways, Harley is sort of a victim of the Joker, allowing him to callously disregard her and throw her away. She always comes running back. Her only motivation in life is to please him and help him rid the world of Batman of course. We love you Harley, but you gotta get some respec fo yo self! (Thats cool right? Thats what the kids say nowadays right? Rad!)
12. Hk-47 Knights of the Old Republic and Kotor 2
Listen up meatbags, if you dont like this character then you must lack gratuitous violence glands. HK is not evil, just very proficient at killing, an assassin droid who loves his work and hates people. Constantly disappointed if you dont let him slaughter everyone you meet. HK leads the line in amusing dialogue throughout the first game and the second. (He is the only other good thing -see number 37 - from Kotor 2) You will find me a valuable asset master, willing and able to terminate anything you point me towards
11. Sarah Kerrigan- Starcraft
*SPOILERS* though if you havent played this by now you probably wont. This lady was a bad ass from her introduction into Starcraft, then she gets captured and infested by the Zerg and becomes even more super awesome again. She gets freaky Medusa style hair and vicious looking wings and eventually takes control of the whole Zerg race. She has got both a tragic and gloriously evil thing going on and as a Zerg leader she manipulates and cheats people into helping her gain power.
